DVD Review: ‘Fuller House: The Complete First Season’

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”

Okay admit it you were a fan of Full House when it ran. Who wasn’t? When the show ended most people figured that was the end. Then when the wave of reboots and restarts Netflix teamed up with the people behind Full House and rebooted the show. And people went crazy for the idea of Uncle Jesse and company coming back. And it all worked out when Fuller House returned on Netflix (minus the Olsen twins).

The show revolved around DJ ( Candace Cameron Bure who is now a widow) with three boys and working as a veterinarian. Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) who is now a DJ (and kind of a flake trying to figure out who she is). And of course Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber who is divorced and has a daughter). They all move in together into the original Tanner home. So it’s three moms and kids.

Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), Joey (Dave Coulier) and Becky (Lori Loughlin) are make occasional visits as do original twins Alex and Nicky.

The show is just as cheesy as the original series. Each of the ladies have their own issues and are there for each other. The work, deal with their kids problems and look for love (including Steve returning for a love triangle with DJ and her boss).

If you were a fan of the original series this is a good continuation of the series. They even give little nods to the fact that the Olsen twins are not there.

You can pick up Fuller House: The Complete First Season on DVD Tuesday, February 28. And watch season two now streaming on Netflix.
