The Blue Man Group invaded Dallas, TX last night at the beautiful Winspear Opera in the AT&T Performing Arts Center. SIMPLY AMAZING is the first thing that comes to mind when recapping the show.
The intermission-free show runs about an hour and a half and opens with 2 marquees with a rolling script of some funny facts about people from the audience and a few other jokes to get everyone loosened up for the show. Once the blue men make their appearance, the show continues to heighten! Their opening act consists of the trio bursting out a colorful drum number while the Blue Man Swing band members play up top throughout the show in their glowing suits. Vivid color, unlimited amounts of laughter, and awesome beats/music made by using some of the simplest items (cereal, pvc pipes, etc) is everything the show provides.
Perfect for all ages, the show has tons of audience interaction and the Blue Men even invade the the audience a few times, inviting show goers onstage and backstage to participate in select acts. A definite must-see for the entire family, the Blue Man Group is simply an amazing experience!
