Book Review: ‘The Tyrant’s Tomb’ Is The Next Fun Trials Of Apollo Novel

Apollo and Meg have made it back to San Francisco with Jason’s body and are making there way to Camp Jupiter. It’s the next battle for the Camp, Meg and Apollo aka Lester Papadopoulos, his mortal name. He’s still on his quest to get restored to Olympus by Zeus. But first they must battle the Roman emperors Commodus, Caligula and a dead god named Tarquin, who turns people into zombies.

They know this is all going down in five days on the date of Lester’s human birthday. He figures this is a clue and they soon learn of a prophecy they need to fulfill to get help from the Gods in their battle. They go on a quest to find one of the clues and it almost costs them their lives.

The day of the big battle is upon the camp and it leads to a dramatic showdown with the Roman Emperors that not everyone will survive. Heroes will be made and Apollo hopes he will be one step closer to becoming a God again.

Another fun Rick Riordan book in the Apollo series. They’re so much fun to read with his awesome pop-culture references and LOL moments. All of his books are great and his writing outstanding and there’s no time like the present to jump in and start reading them. He gives enough back-story so you know what’s going on and who is who.

This book is out in stores now and the next book in the series will be out in the fall of 2020.
