Book Review: ‘The Protector’ Might Be My Favorite Book All Year

I’ve read a lot of books so far this year. Some quite good and a few not so good. After reading The Protector, it might be hard to top this one. It’s my kind of book. Action packed, well defined characters, lots of hot sex (and if you blush easily this isn’t for you) and a great story!

Ex-military sniper Jake Sharp is broken and alone. He was betrayed by his wife and it cut him to his core. For years he’s done nothing but drink and have meaningless sex. When he gets a new assignment for the agency he works for, he’s not so sure he wants it. He has to bodyguard for a famous model Camille Logan, of a rich, powerful man. From the minute he meets her there’s an attraction between the two of them. He really didn’t want the assignment of having to protect her (there have threats been against her). He’s even ready to quit. He decides he won’t leave her.

When they finally give into their carnal desires, it’s everything they had hoped for and more. And again can Jodie Ellen Malpas write some graphic sex scenes. They fall in love. Well daddy doesn’t approve and causes problems. When Jake is suddenly wanted by the police, he plans an escape for him and Camille and vows to get to the bottom of what is going on once and for all.

Available in stores on Tuesday, September 6th.
