Blu-ray Review: ‘Supergirl: The Complete Second Season’

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”

Supergirl season two moved to The CW after its first season on CBS. The show also moved to Vancouver to film the season. In the process lost some cast members, most notably Calista Flockhart (who did a few episodes). There was also a big four cross-over event with the other DC properties on The CW with The Flash, Arrow and Legends Of Tomorrow.

This season included special visits from Superman (Tyler Hoechlin),Jeremy Danvers (Dean Cain), Eliza Danvers (Helen Slater), President (Lynda Carter) and as a baddie Rhea (Teri Hatcher).

The season found Kara being more independent and looking for herself. She also got a new love interest in Mon-E (Mike Matthews) played by former Vampire Diaries star Chris Wood. Kara is still working with her sister at DEO and searching for her missing dad Jeremiah and what the secret of Cadmus is. As she tries to balance everything in her life (personal and professional), she has to battle new and returning enemies in order to keep the citizens of National City safe.

You can own Supergirl: The Complete Second Season Own on Blu-rayTM and DVD 8/22.
